—Join us Saturday night as we celebrate the best sports in North Carolina high schools for the 2022-2023 school year High School OT Honors Presented by Two Men and a Truck and D1 Sports Holly Springs.

HighSchoolOT Honors are sold out, but you can Watch the awards ceremony live on HighSchoolOT.com, the HighSchoolOT app, or the WRAL app for streaming TV devices. The show starts at 7pm on Saturday nights. It will also be available for on-demand replays.

The awards ceremony is an opportunity to recognize all the great accomplishments of athletes, coaches, administrators and teams during the 2022-2023 school year.

Hosted by Nick Stevens and TJ Thorpe of HighSchoolOT, more than 40 awards will be presented on Saturday night. Awards include Player of the Year in all recognized sports, as well as awards such as Men’s and Women’s Coach and Athlete of the Year, Athletic Director of the Year, Team of the Year and the Stuart Scott Courage Award named in honor of former WRAL reporter and ESPN anchor Stuart Scott.

2022-23 HSOT Honor Ballot

Throughout the academic year, nominations from the public for various awards are accepted. A committee of HighSchoolOT staff and contributors then narrowed the nominations down to finalists, who were voted on by the public to determine the winner. Tens of thousands of ballots were cast this year.

One recipient was hand-picked by HighSchoolOT – the Lifetime Achievement Award. This year’s winner is longtime JH Rose baseball coach Ronald Vincent, who has been with JH Rose since 1973. This year, he became the first coach in NC High School Athletic Association history to win 1,000 professional games in a single sport.
