Adams gets call to work title game

North Central Officials Association member Dan Adams has been selected for Friday’s Class 2A game in the IHSAA Baseball State Finals at Victory Field. The game pitted two private schools — Iliana Christian (24-9) and Covenant Christian (16-15).

Illiana Christian is a former Illinois school. Last year, in its second year of qualifying for the IHSAA Championships, it won the Class 2A Championship.

After 6 it rained; game added tonight

The Kokomo Post 6 baseball game against Lafayette on Tuesday was called off due to rain. Kokomo ended up raining twice on Sunday.

The 76ers added a home game tonight. Kokomo will take on Muncie at CFD Investments Stadium in Highland Park at 7pm.

Peru’s Hyde, Boyer in north-south race

PENDLETON — Peruvian tennis players Lauren Boyer and McKee Hyde performed well at the Indiana Women’s Athletic Association’s 25th annual Senior North-South All-Star Coaches Cup on Sunday.

Playing for the 12-man North, Hyde went 3-0, winning two singles and one doubles, while Boyer went 2-1, both in doubles. Hyde and Boyer team up for a tag team match.

In three rounds, the Southern team defeated the Northern team by a score of 27-25.

Kelly makes three-peat at left-handed golf championship

HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho — Team Kokomo’s Jon Kelly successfully defended his National Lefty Golfers Association Championship title over the weekend at Avondale Golf Club in the Gem State. This is his third consecutive championship title.

Kelly shot 79 for three consecutive rounds, nine shots ahead of course member Eric Dalton.
