Paradigm Signs Thomas Zambeck and Brian Katz’s Umbrelic Entertainment – Deadline


exclusive: Paradigm announced Friday that it has signed with Umbrelic Entertainment, a Los Angeles and Detroit-based film finance and production company founded and run by Thomas Zambeck and Brian Katz. Umbrelic will be led by Nick LoPiccolo and Babacar Diene within Paradigm’s Content Group.

Since its inception in 2018, Umbrelic Entertainment has built non-coastal, non-traditional financial capital by demystifying the film industry for new investors and pairing them with commercial projects, producing or financing more than a dozen films pipeline.Recent releases include Chris Sivertson’s horror thriller monstrousa crime thriller starring Christina Ricci american murdererstarring Tom Palfrey and Ryan Phillippe.

Upcoming Umbrelic releases include sci-fi thriller share Bradley Whitford and Alice Braga, action thriller Hellfire Dark comedy starring Stephen Lang and Harvey Keitel and director Adam Siegel Nandor Fodor and the talking mongoose, starring Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver and Christopher Lloyd.The company is also in a post starring Emil Hirsch helen diedalso deep sixstarring Tom Welling and Cam Gigandet, and is developing many other projects that will be announced soon.

Umbrelic also operates OutPostX, a full-service post-production division that provides post supervision, mastering, quality control and delivery services, through which it provides investors with additional security and peace of mind and helps Subsidize post workflow for independent filmmakers.

Umbrelic’s co-founder, Zambeck, has 15 years of post-production experience and has led over 1,500 projects to global deliveries, with previous stints at Starz, Sony, Post Haste Digital and Anchor Bay Entertainment.

Co-founder Katz is a sales specialist with over 20 years of experience in technology, manufacturing and private equity, and in addition to Umbrelic, he is also active at The Children’s Center, a Children’s non-profit organization. He previously served as a volunteer for the AmeriCorps NCCC program.

Umbrelic continues to be represented by Goodloe Law and Detroit-based Dizik, Faber and Kaplan.
