American rapper, singer-songwriter and record producer Doja Cat showcases her return to rap with the release of her latest single “Attention”.
The accompanying music video features Doja wandering the streets of Los Angeles.
Directed by Tanu Muino, the surreal video depicts Doja in various scenes, including an outfit in a white T-shirt and jeans, hiding from fans and individuals in flesh-colored masks.
The visuals also include glimpses of a naked Doja, with what appears to be blood. Doja’s use of the drop of blood emoji in her Twitter announcement, as well as previous cryptic tweets, sparked speculation about the song’s meaning.
“Attention” is Doja Cat’s first solo album this year after appearing on SZA’s “Kill Bill” remix.
