Blackpink’s Jennie has been officially put on leave to recover from “deteriorating health”.
The news was announced as part of a statement released by YG Entertainment.
The statement in question read: “Jenny was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating condition. We would like to express our sincerest apologies to all fans who supported Blackpink and those who attended the event. We ask for your understanding in this situation. “
According to People magazine, “Jennie expressed a strong determination to see the show through. However, based on medical advice from the scene, we took immediate steps to ensure she was well rested and stabilized.”
In the same announcement, they also assured fans that “she will recover as soon as possible” and “do our best to support Jennie’s speedy recovery” in the process.
Eagle-eyed fans also took videos of the whole process.
In the video, Jenny can be seen stopping midway through the song and walking off the stage, while fans keep screaming “We love you Jenny”.
